The RH-396X manually operated resistance heating tool is designed specifically to install TE Connectivity’s Tinel-Lock rings for screened terminations. Available in 120 V and 220 V versions, it is designed to accommodate our Tinel-Lock rings from size TR04 through TR24 inclusive.
The tool makes it easy to install Tinel-Lock rings consistently and quickly. The operator uses the hand-held tool to install the Tinel-Lock ring in its correct position on screened terminations.
The ring has a patch of thermochromic paint, which turns to a black color upon successful installation.
The operator positions the ring on the termination, ensuring that the patch of thermochromic color is visible. The jaws of the installation tool are then clamped onto the ring to start the installation. When the thermochromic paint turns black, installation is complete.
The RH-396X Tinel-Lock ring installation tool is available in North America and Asia Pacific only.
